Past Photos

Taking a Rest
6/25/2010 – 3:47 AM; Zion’s National Park, Utah; f/3.5; 1/160 sec – Canon PowerShot A 1100 IS; macro
I darkened this photo just slightly to bring out a little more contrast.

Surrounded
8/27/2010 – 7:01 PM; Salt Flats, Utah; f/2.8; 1/500 sec – Canon PowerShot A 1100 IS
I also darkened this photo just slightly so the contrast would be greater.

Bashful
1/1/2010 – 4:26 PM; Blackfoot, Idaho; f/3.5; 1/80 sec – Canon PowerShot A 1100 IS
This photo I edited in Picasa 3. I removed a couple of scratches from her face with the retouch tool as well as tuned the picture so the colors were brighter. I also increased the saturation and added a slight glow.

Fishing at Glacier
9/5/2009 – 1:15 PM; Glacier National Park, Montana; f/4.1; 1/250 sec – Kodak C340
I edited this picture using Photoshop CS4. I darkened the picture and increased the saturation to brighten the colors.

Blue Skies
6/25/2010 – 9:47 AM; near Mt. Carmel Junction, Utah; f/8; 1/400 sec – Canon PowerShot A 1100 IS

In the above photos I tried to capture a feeling, a mood. I enjoy capturing moments in photography that might not be that amazing, but make up the pieces of my life. I used a variety of automatic settings on my camera. All of these pictures have one thing in common: I was in the right place at the right time, and I had my camera with me.

Your scenic photos are amazing! I love the skies. Good work! Also, than you for telling the class how to add the Blog List, and for having yours done as an example. :)
